TASTING NOTES
  • 92/100 [Vintage 2017] by James Suckling
    Lots of savory red fruit with raspberries, strawberries and lemon, sitting on creamy oak. A hint of roasted coffee here, to be integrated very soon with the tangy, ethereal forestry fruit. Pure and still elegant. This reminds me of a high-quality Marlborough pinot. Well-balanced with its medium build and acidity, framed in a tender yet firm tannin. Quite long. Would score higher if there were a touch more depth and zing. Sourced from an elevated vineyard at around 1000m. Keep an eye out for this excellent pinot from China.
